Joy gives us wings…
We had a small group today – but a very musical one! Starting out with prayers and songs – and lots of ukulele accompaniment 🙂
It was the perfect introduction to our lesson today – which was all about joy – and how ‘Abdu’l-Bahá always admonished everyone to be happy and bring joy to people’s hearts. “Joy gives us wings! In times of joy our strength is more vital, our intellect keener, and our understanding less clouded. We seem better able to cope with the world and to find our sphere of usefulness.”
To remind us of being joyful and that it can give us wings, we made … paper-birds, each carrying a little message of joy in its beak! There were some gorgeous birds and patterns – what talented children we have!
The birds then had a little ‘outing’ in the Kowhai tree….
Next Sunday is our last class before the school holidays. Have a joyful week everyone and see you then!
